Band Saw Operator 2nd Shift

Description:
We are seeking a Band Saw Operator for 2nd Shift in the Wilkes Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Operating the band saw to cut materials accurately and efficiently as specified by work orders.
- Cut steel stock to correct length and measurements.
- Reads and interprets basic blueprints and work orders.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday
- 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Requirements:
- Must be able to measure material thickness and part dimensions accurately.
- Must be able to read and understand forms and measuring devices.
- Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to band saws and forklifts.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull, and stand for long periods of time.
- Must commit to shift days and times as scheduled.
