Description:
We are seeking a Welder for Weekend Shift in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural and precision components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts.
- Use measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection methods to confirm dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
- Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and cutting torches.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and related tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow all company, OSHA, and safety procedures to maintain a hazard-free work area.
- May perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.
Schedule:
- Friday-Sunday
- 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Requirements:
- Technical or trade school certification in welding preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to effectively operate and maintain forklift equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification preferred or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
- Must commit to shift days and times as scheduled.
