Description:
We are seeking a CNC Operator for 2nd Shift in the Wilkes Barre, PA area. The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor CNC lathes, mills, or drills to produce precision components that meet engineering and quality standards.
- Load and secure raw materials and tools in machines for optimal performance.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precise tolerances and compliance with specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning. Report mechanical or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- May perform other duties as assigned by site leadership.
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday
- 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, G-code interpretation, and CNC control operation.
- 1–3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related manufacturing role.
- Strong attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high-quality production in a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with multiple-axis CNC machines is preferred.
- Must commit to shift days and times as scheduled.
